Give butterflies your old bananas

(September 25, 2015)

Did you know that butterflies like to feast on bananas?

The RSPB says that autumn is a good time of year to give butterflies a feast to help them stay fit and healthy, and to give them the energy to see them into hibernation.

You may also get wasps and hornets to visit your banquet, but this is a great way to help butteflies and give them a treat.

Give your old bananas to butterflies

All you need is an old banana, one that's gone too speckled for you to eat and follow the RSPB instructions about how to prepare it (yes, honestly) and the best height to put it at.   Click here for more details.
