Castle Espie Wetland Centre
This has been undergoing considerable development, so please be prepared to be flexible and fit in when you visit - the work is due to be finished in April 2009 but sometimes these things can take longer.  What will you see?  Ducks, swans and geese, learn how to make a difference in the sustainable garden, find the Wet Woodland on this 1,400 acre nature reserve. In spring, you'll see migrating songbirds from the tropics, as geese and swans start heading north. Come late at night to hear Britain's rarest amphibian concert.  In summer, enjoy hay meadows, wild flowers, dragonflies and otters.  In the evening events, you may see badgers and barn owls feeding their chicks via cctv.
